“From the
beginning of time man has yearned to destroy the sun!”
Monty Burns The Simpsons
The soul is
not an energy
but a master
there of,
in goes the
porcupine
and out
comes the dove.
While owing
all its creator above,
the soul is
not an energy
but a
producer-
of love.
Plants can
do nothing without the sun,
just as we
can do nothing without God,
and all the
while there are things growing
in the sod.
Sundries
In the
baking sun,
there is a
sign with white paint and red letters
that says
“Sundries.”
The white
paint seems to be dripping,
like vanilla
melting,
like a baby
with a bottle
they are
quietly sipping.
Sunblock
To find “A
Place in the Sun,”
I felt like
a ghost with no sunblock,
letting go
of etheria,
to be one
who is not everything,
yet has
feelings
and can be
hurt and find joy,
less than
the sky,
but more
than a toy.
