Sun vs. Shade

I am not an enemy of the sun,

but am a very good friend with the shade,

and the shade I am sitting in

is about to disappear from where I sit

as the sun moves further west,

and I would rather sit

in the coolness of my friend

where I am protected from the sun’s rays,

so soon, it will be time to move on,

move to the other side of the building

that was just granted shade

after being covered in sunlight

for most of the morning and early afternoon,

but I am not complaining,

I like sharing my time with any shade

during the days of summer.

Sun Crafts

Listen to the sun sing to us of dawn,

listen to the sun sing to us of night

while it leaps across the sky in dance

and I, just sit back and relax

watching and listening,

its music so sweet,

its dance majestic,

and each day as I watch

it sings a new song

and dances a new dance.

Goodnight Sun

Every day of every month,

the sun shining high in the sky

leaves our view and moves on westward,

out of view, out of sight,

but before it departs and moves on farther,

it displays itself with reds and yellows,

forming a sunset in the horizon,

and with this sign across the sky,

telling all a goodnight.

Sun The sun barks our neighbors awake. It scares away the terrified hissing fog then keeps barking  and will not stop.
