Sprinting in the Sun

From birth, I wanted to feel the warmth of the sun.

When I could stand, I’d watch my sisters romp outside.

Within a few months, I didn’t walk, I’d always run.

If the gals did not include me in their play, I cried.

As I grew, my running skills were second to none.

I would spend hours sprinting along the seaside.

My coaches and parents constantly said: “Well done!”

I felt sunbeams on my face as I jogged far and wide.

A lifetime with Old Helios had only begun.

Enjoying Family

Precious time with family cannot be outdone.

Sunny summers on the beach are a “hole in one”.

Making snow angels in the yard are a “home run”.

We’d have fun in the sun at every location.

As families move away, it’s tough to be with everyone.

But marvelous memories with them are never undone.

When I’m at the end of my life, let me live with someone.

If I’m alone without love, my existence will be done.

Ways to Have Fun in the Sun

You can hang out with your sons.

Laughing hysterically as you create puns.

Shield your eyes from the sun when you shoot your guns.

You can spend time with a scholarly nun.

Learning about her reverent life is second to none.

Make sure you treat her as a special someone.

You can walk on the sand on a sunny morning with your grandson.

Letting him know how proud you are of his recent home run.

Time spent with people you care about should never be over and done.

Sun The sun barks our neighbors awake. It scares away the terrified hissing fog then keeps barking  and will not stop.
